West Texas Chapter
The West Texas Chapter has three dedicated volunteers assisting with chapter operations under the oversight of the board.
Brooke Sport is currently the West Texas Chapter TxAPT chair. She is licensed through the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), and she has received her certification as a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) through the Association for Play Therapy. She is also a LPC-Supervisor and an RPT-Supervisor. She obtained her Associates Degree from South Plains College in 2012, her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas Tech University in 2014, and her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from Angelo State University in 2016.
She has experience working with individuals who struggle with depression, anxiety, grief, PTSD, and other mental health issues. She provides counseling for children, teenagers, and adults. Brooke has been with West Texas Counseling & Guidance in San Angelo, Texas since 2017.

My name is Natalia Murillo and I am the finance representative for the West Texas Chapter of the Association for Play Therapy. I am from El Paso, Texas where I work at a private practice called Thrive Counseling and Wellness. I am currently working towards becoming an RPT as I enjoy working with children and their parents. Being a part of the West Texas Chapter is important to me because I am able to aid in bringing awareness to the benefits of play therapy and in providing presentations and building connections with other play therapists in the area.
